How and why are they used?

Join us to learn the basics of mantras and malas and how using them together can deepen your practice.

In this Program You Will:

  • Learn the basics of mantras and malas

  • Learn about the Soham mantra, a foundational Mantra

  • Receive your own mala (prayer beads) and learn how to use them

  • Experience a simple guided meditation

Mantras and malas are simple, repetitive practices come naturally and are open for everyone, regardless of your religion or spiritual practice.  They can deepen your meditation, lower stress, build mindfulness, and support your spiritual growth.

Swami Brahmananda‘s spiritual journey spans decades of meditation, study, and service. A Reiki master for over 30 years and founder of 3 Shanti, he guides seekers toward peace, self-realization, and compassionate living.

Swamini Chinmayee Devi

Chinmayee Devi means ‘blissful divine consciousness’

Swamini Chinmayee has been a yoga practitioner for over 3 decades, master energy healer, nature mindfulness guide, and retreat manager. As Vice President of 3 Shanti, she organizes and leads classes, manages outreach, and provides heart-centered spiritual support.


Swamini Chinmayee Devi and Swami Brahmananda are mental and physical renunciants and the first of the order of 3 Shanti (peace of the body, mind, and spirit). Both have been ordained in the lineage of Sree Narayana Guru. Together they serve the community through 3 Shanti, who offer Sangha Group Meditation & Dharma talks, classes, personalized spiritual coaching, joint Reiki energy healing sessions, and conduct mindfulness meditation outreach programs to community groups in northeast Ohio and online. Helping to ground in the energy of your inner self to discover inner peace, joy, and the harmonious connection we all share globally.
