Energetic Sand Mandalas

Awaken Spring’s Energy through Color

Saturday, April 30

Time: 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Facilitator: Alsie Clay
Location: Shadybrook

Experience kinetic energy through sand!

Doors open at 12:30 p.m.  Please arrive early so that you can sign in and get settled before the program begins at 1:00 p.m.

  • Play with the vibrant colors and energy of Spring

  • Create energetic sand mandalas

  • See what images are revealed in your art!

A unique energetic interpretation of traditional Buddhist sand mandala.

Alsie Clay facilitates creating sand mandalas, using kinetic energy work – the energy of motion!

This workshop will include an opening talk by Alsie Clay. Alsie will tell the story of the unique gifts she received from a near-death experience.

In this experience you will:

  • Begin with hearing the fascinating story of how Alsie Clay received the gift of kinetic energy work, and the basics of what it is.

  • Next, create an individual mandala.  Experience this unique technique of sprinkling brightly colored artist's sand onto a white surface.  Instead of creating intentional patterns, relax into the flow and let the kinetic energy create a beautiful image.

  • Next, join a few others and create a small group energetic sand mandala.

  • Finally, join the full group as we create a large sand mandala together in a kinetic community art experience.

  • Discuss some of the images that have been revealed from this process!

As we close the circle, the sand will be swept up and collected, as a reminder of impermanence, similar to Buddhist monks’ practice.

But, not to worry!  The beautiful mandalas will be photographed.

Investment: $45 (Supplies Included)

A Mystical Keepsake Awaits

A Digital Iteration created from the "Dancers" sand painting of an angel.

Turn Your Energy Into Art

Your sand mandala is more than just grains of sand—it holds energy and hidden messages. After the workshop, you can preserve its magic with a personalized digital art piece, created with photos enhanced with Digital technology.

Unveil the unseen. A single photograph of your sand mandala transforms into a small series of mesmerizing digital masterpieces, revealing hidden images and energetic patterns.

Unique & Personal. No two pieces are alike—each artwork captures the essence of your creation, making it a one-of-a-kind keepsake.

So, you are welcome to bring your camera or devices to take photos of your own art created in sand, before everyone leaves, at the end of the event. It is suggested that the sand be treated in an honorable way, as a memento of a special experience. For example, pour it into a beautiful jar, or covered dish, and place it in an honored space.

Enhance Your Experience

As a culmination of her extensively-documented life’s work, Alsie Clay has written a handbook that includes a glossary of Quantum Theoretical Vocabulary.  If you would like to enhance your understanding of the experience of her Energetic Artwork and writings, it will be available for purchase at the door.
