Tap into your creativity and intuition. In this sacred space, you will discover your artistic muse thru Zentangle drawing, meditation, music, poetry, and reflecting upon your personal experience with the process.
What is Zentangle?
Zentangle® is a fascinating new art form that is both fun and relaxing and can be enjoyed by all skill levels and ages. You will learn an easy method of creating beautiful images from repetitive patterns. Experience the satisfaction of completing your own unique, finished piece of art and enjoy the meditative quality this wonderful art form has to offer. Anyone can create a Zentangle® – you don’t need to be able to draw or think of yourself as an artist!

Face coverings are not required for those fully vaccinated to attend in-person. Additional information can be found on our website https://www.shadybrook.org/policies.html
Judy is a retired school librarian who didn’t consider herself an artist until she took a Zentangle® class from her friend, Ellen Darby. She attended her first class in March of 2012 and loved it so much she went to Rhode Island in August 2012 to become a Certified Zentangle® Teacher (CZT). She enjoys teaching people in small or large groups in the Cleveland area to find the artists within themselves.
For more than 30 years, Shirley has lived an engaged spiritual life through mindfulness and compassion as a speaker, facilitator, writer and a workshop and retreat leader.
As a certified interspiritual companion counselor, Shirley offers individuals inner-essence serenity sessions to explore their spiritual journey with the intention to raise their consciousness and deepen their understanding of self and others.
Shirley is currently a student at One Spirit Learning Alliance in New York, NY and in June 2021 she will be ordained as an interfaith/interspiritual minister.
