Depth Psychology, Sweat Lodge,

and the Peaceful World They Share

Hope dreams are good. For depth psych and lodge to merge, our culture needs to become conscious of using religion to condemn others as evil and learn to pour our grief to the Earth.  Herman Melville described what faces us as ‘incantation of this whiteness’

Healing moments that occur when working with the unconscious and healing moments in a sweat lodge share similar symbolic, mythological languages. With songs, stories and teachings, Christopher Reynolds invites you into the ensouled embodiment that Joseph Campbell described as a deep experience of being alive.

The personal unconscious, archetypal unconscious, and psychoid system of depth psychology are called, the layers of the lodge in Indigenous Wisdom. Both ways of understanding stress the importance of the inborn sacredness of all human beings. Both share the goal of peace on Earth.

Attendees are invited to a short fire ceremony outside at the end of the presentation.
