Elizabeth Fincun, Director of Operations
Elzi Fincun graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in Art Education. Elzi spent 4 years with Valley Art Center located in Chagrin Falls as a teacher as well as Office Assistant and then Gallery Manager. Afterwhich she joined the All Matters Gallery team as Gallery Manager for 3.5 years. Elzi is excited to join Shadybrook and hopes to reinvigorate Shadybrook in the eyes of the community by helping to shape programming sessions full of varied and rich programs, classes and workshops.
Elzi also reads and teaches how to read the Tarot, creates spiritual tools such as pendulums and crystals grids that can be found at All Matters Gallery, and custom drawn/painted pet portrait memorials.
Michelle Hudson, Administrative Coordinator
Michelle Hudson has over twenty-five years of experience within the non profit sector. Michelle graduated from Lake Erie College in Painesville with a degree in psychology. She is also employed by the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library as their Communications and Development Associate.
On behalf of Shadybrook, Michelle serves as our Administrative Coordinator. She handles our annual campaign, creates public relations materials, is responsible for marketing and promotion and assists in organizing special events including membership events and fundraisers.
Nancy Herrick, Chair
Nancy Herrick is a retired elementary school educator. Her 35 years of work with primary school students, their parents and colleagues enriched her awareness of the value of living a balanced life. Originally, trained and certified as a Usui/Tibetan and Karuna® Reiki Master, Nancy continued her training to become certified as a Usui/Holy Fire ll Reiki Master Teacher and Holy Fire ll Karuna® Reiki Master Teacher. In addition to her western Reiki training, Nancy is certified as a Jikiden Reiki practitioner at the Shoden and Okuden levels. Nancy had been the director of the Reiki Clinic at Ursuline Academy since 2009 until its ceasing in 2018.
She continues to attend to her own personal growth with studies that assist her with teaching others how to establish and maintain a personal state of well-being and how to bring about positive change for the planet.
Laura Christian Imbornoni, Vice-Chair
Laura Christian Imbornoni is a professional level yoga instructor, an Integrative Yoga Therapist and an SomaSoul®: Somatic Expressive Therapy graduate. Laura is certified to lead Shake Your Soul®: the Yoga of Dance and as a Holistic Health Educator by the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. She is certified as an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist and as a Transpersonal Coach by the Wellness Institute in Issaquah Washington. She is certified in Integral Breath Therapy. Laura previously managed Mentor Senior Center for 31 years.
Diane Kopp, Secretary
After a successful career in business, Diane T. Kopp was drawn to energy healing, lecturing, teaching and facilitating workshops in metaphysics for more than 15 years. Her love of the Divine, the Universe, the natural world and people propels her towards this enriching life of love, heart-centeredness and service. Diane’s other interests include art (acrylics, silks and watercolor), writing, as well as her love of music being a piano/theory teacher.
Dean Williams, Treasurer
Dean Williams is an ordained priest and teacher in the Soto Zen Buddhist lineage. He is also a certified Buddhist chaplain. He is a volunteer with Hospice of the Cleveland Clinic and a founding member of the Cleveland chapter of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship. Dean speaks at various churches throughout northeastern Ohio and, as a member of InterAct Cleveland, has participated in a number of interfaith services. He has served as Assistant Treasurer for InterAct Cleveland, and as a board member for both Project LEARN and for Udumbora Zen Center. Dean serves as Regional V P for the Meadowbrook Insurance Group.
Dave Hiscott, Sr.
Dave recently joined our team after serving several years as contributing member and also serves on our Programming Committee. He is a retired sales/marketing executive in both the distribution and manufacturing industries. His expertise and experience in business includes team building and the marketing of programs providing value added services to help customers to grow and to be successful. Dave believes that at Shadybrook our customers are our valued members and those seeking to grow and expand in their personal lives. His commitment in helping to develop meaningful programs and services will help us to achieve that goal.
Steve Imbornoni, PhD, is a licensed as a psychologist, a supervising clinical counselor, and a massage therapist. He is a spiritualist minister ordained by Fellowships of the Spirit. Dr. Imbornoni maintains an integrative private practice in Beachwood, Ohio. He has served as Shadybrook’s Treasurer, in the past, for a number of years.
Shirley A. Nelson
Shirley A. Nelson has served in administrative and management positions for profit and not-for-profit organizations throughout her lifetime. As Vice President for Operations of the Council for Health and Human Service Ministries and Program Coordinator of the Faith-Based Leadership Institute, she worked with a wide spectrum of religious organizations of varying faiths. She is certified as a Diakonal Minister through the Faith-Based Leadership Institute and the Center for Faith-Based Leadership and is certified as a life skills coach and workshop facilitator by the Empowerment Institute. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Capitol University and has written several books. Shirley also writes for several online publications and is the founder of San’s Sacred Circle.
Sharon Vrettas has had a life long interest in metaphysics and healing. For over forty years she worked in Administrative Services and as the Human Resource Director for EDR Media. She has also served on several non-for-profit boards. She is an advocate of shared leadership and group process. Sharon is currently a reiki therapist at Montefiore Nursing Home.
